Well we were up early to prepare for our ships Remembrance Day ceremony at 9 a.m. (local) today. A do over if you will due to the time changes. I showered early and then did a coffee run while Kelly took her turn.

Excellent service by the Celebrity Crew.
Uncannily we met up with George as we entered the theater but unfortunately Avis was not feeling well and remained behind. We sat down together and noticed a large turnout for the service. The Celebrity crew did a great job of honoring those fallen, injured or who had served. Poems read, Last Post on trumpet and a beautifully sung rendition of Amazing Grace to cap it off. Well done.
Kelly did up some laundry in our portable scrubber laundry bag thingy as I finished up yesterday's blog and finally got it published... hey it was a long day yesterday and the margaritas where tasting good on the Sunset Bar!
We struck out of our cabin and looked for something to do... we wandered the ship and checked the program for something that would interest us. The Elite Music & Mixology was on but we had already seen that. We stopped at the casino and watched the three card poker for a while. We had played this on previous cruises but needed to relearn the game. I also went over and watched a Texas Three Card Hold'em tournament that was underway.
Off to the Mast Grill to grab a quick lunch as we both had a craving for a burger. It filled the gap! I decided that a short nap was in order so Kelly grabbed her knitting and went off to find a quiet place on the ship. She found it!
I found her later in the main venue area as they had started doing rehersals for a show in Eden. Later we wandered back to Eden and met up with Mike & Cathy for drinks. Avis & George joined us and we introduced the two couples. We had several drinks and enjoy the conversations going on around the table.
Avis & George had issue lately with extra strange noises in their room. So much so that Avis was at the concierge desk at 4 a.m. raising concerns as she could not sleep. They are now on Deck 9 and have new sea pass cards!
We all split up and Kelly and I went to the Oceanview Cafe for a quick dinner. We needed to get down to the Casino for 8 p.m. for the draw to play Blackjack against the Captain and crew. Only four people would get the chance. Well it turns out both Kelly and I managed to get called and we played a seven round tournament. Sadly neither of us got any good cards and we were both eliminated. It was fun though!
We then went to the nine o'clock show featuring Deryn Trainer who did a medley of Elton John and Billy Joel hits. It was entertaining!
A quick stop to play some cards and Kelly was very successful this evening, pocketing a bunch of black chips. She will sleep better tonight!
Back in the room, I blogged away as she prepare for our day in Christchurch tomorrow.
