Departure day has finally arrived as Kelly has been packing for the last few days slowly sorting and deciding what to bring along. She will ponder her choices for the remainder of the trip:-)
She did some last minute preparations with neighbours along with a pedicure, manicure, brow's & hair cut (for me) and some last minute packing and she is set! The only real difference this trip is she has two bags... well actually she has two carry on's for a total of four... it is a long trip! l packed my stuff up under her watchful eye, ensuring everything is properly folded and accounted for. Electrical doodads all sorted as well.
We got a ride to the Victoria airport from our neighbor Wayne and arrived a bit early as we had to pick up some foreign currency for Oz and NZ. The currency place closed at 7 pm. but we made it work.
We checked in our three bags at the AC service counter and then went to the currency exchange to pick up our OZ & NZ fun money. Safely through security, we then enjoyed a nice beverage to celebrate that fact!

Our Q-400 flight to Vancouver departed at 8:25 PM and once on the other side of the pond, we headed over to our gate area for our flight to Sydney. A quick stop for an adult refreshment and we made our way to gate 52.
Our Air Canada Flt 33 to Oz is hammered so boarding did take a while. After settling in to our seats I grabbed the laptop and finished up this post.
It's an almost 15 hour flight so plenty of time to eat, sleep & enjoy the inflight amenities onboard. My ipad & the inflight entertainment system :-)
